Medical Medium Troublemaker Foods List

Medical Medium gives us a full list of foods we can avoid to feel better and heal.

This blog post will just be a quick overview.

Please have a look at the full list and the explanation of WHY each food is not helpful in his books or website.

Troublemaker Foods

He categorises the foods into “5 Levels”, with a sixth “Bonus” level.

  • Level 1 are the most important foods to avoid.

  • Then, you can try to avoid more from different categories.

  • You can mix: You try to avoid some from category 1, then some from 2 and some from category 4 for example.

  • As Medical Medium always says: “YOU take it as far as YOU want.”

  • Some people can eat some of these foods and be fine.

  • Other people need to remove many of these foods to move forward with their healing (that was my case)

  • You can avoid all of these foods if you need, want or can.

  • After healing a lot, some people can re-introduce some of these foods into their lives, and not have a strong reaction.

My experience with troublemaker foods

When my health was at my worse: I woke up with new eye sties the next morning 100% of the time when I was eating eggs and dairy. In fact, if I cooked with dairy, a eye stye will appear within a couple of minutes of cooking (example: above the stove cooking milk).

I also got new styes a few minutes after eating fats (even avocado).

I also felt very tired after consuming gluten.

I tried to “eat things in moderation”. But that didn’t help me heal. It slowed me down.

I really had to make a change.

Please note that this is my experience.

We all are at different stages of our healing journeys. Some people might find it “easy” to remove some foods. For other people, it might take a little longer. And both are completely fine scenarios.

This is what I did at the beginning of my journey:

  • I started my mornings drinking my Lemon Water, Celery Juice and Heavy Metal Detox Smoothie.

  • I removed Level 1 troublemaker foods from my life (I really needed to find relief ~ and it worked)

  • At the same time, I picked some other troublemaker foods that I didn’t eat much of, and some that I didn’t mind taking away from my diet:

    • Pork

    • Tuna

    • Oils (just some coconut oil to bake Medical Medium desserts)

    • Soy

    • Lamb

    • Fish & seafood (other than the approved salmon occasionally)

    • Soft drinks (I ate and drank so many other Medical Medium foods I didn’t even crave soft drinks anymore)

    • Apple cider vinegar (after reading what it does to us, I was convinced. Plus I had tried the “apple cider vinegar” health trick before starting MM and it never made me feel better. So good-bye ACV)

    • Fermented foods (I occasionally had coconut aminos)

    • Caffeine - I was never a coffee, black tea, matcha or energy drink drinker. However, I was a HUGE chocolate lover. I ate at least 1 tablet a day. But… I had horrible fatigue, energy issues, neurological symptoms, hair loss, thinning hair, sleep issues. I educated myself and learned what Medical Medium says about caffeine / chocolate… and then it was a no-brainer for me to stop chocolate. I craved chocolate because my body craved sweets (meaning, my liver was starving for glucose). So to make the transition easier, I made a lot of Medical Medium cookies, cakes and ice-creams. I loved it and never craved chocolate again. PS: Carob is a great chocolate alternative, without the caffeine. I made hot “chocolate” drinks with carob, and Medical Medium “Anzac Cookies” or “Snickerdoodles” ~ YUM!!! I drool just thinking about it. Perfect combo.

    • Alcohol (I was never a big drinker, so that was fine)

    • Natural flavors (I started paying attention to ingredients list on food products)

    • Citric acid (I started paying attention to ingredients list on food products)

    • Nutritional yeast

    • MSG
